My ascii sig. is mangled!
ReplyDeleteI used an ASCII .sig assuming a fixed width font, but the web doesn't work that way anymore and the lost arts of ASCII and the witty .sig quote seem doomed to obscurity with the rest of Usenet and the lost culture it spawned. The rise of Apple mobile devices is partly to blame. AS a recent convert to the Cult ov Mac I was in an Apple store asking a "genius" about newsreaders only to be met with a blank look. Mac OS X ships without one.
